Article on Entertaiment
Entertaiment is any agreeable occupation of the mind, diversion or amusement: playing chess; solving crossword puzzles; attending a concert. It is also an event that affords pleasure, such as a ball, or a performance such as a play or opera. Entertainment may be a means of edification, as in a religious pageant or a political satire; it can be a form of escapism, as in reading novels of adventure or intrigue.
It can also be used as a form of education, such as educating children in social backstabbing and murders (through role-playing games), or it can help develop skills required for activities such as sports, music, or dance through play and participation in activities such as dolls and group games. Similarly, what provides entertainment for one individual or group can be considered work or an act of cruelty by another.
