Entertaiment is the practice of presenting and appreciating a work of art in one’s free time, whether it be as a film, book, video game, piece of music or dance, or performance. It requires competency on numerous levels, including the ability to package and present that art in compliance with established social norms or defy those standards for the sake of the art; the capacity to entertain at any scale, from an individual choosing private entertainment from a now enormous array of pre-recorded products; to a banquet adapted for two, or to performances aimed at thousands, or even a global audience.
